SILENCER Begins Recording New Album
November 3, 2006Colorado metallers SILENCER have entered the studio to begin recording the follow-up to "Death of Awe", tentatively due in 2007. The group has issued the following update on the progress of the recording sessions for the new album:
"Drum tracking just finished and we're doing a bit of project cleanup and prep to begin guitars here shortly. Everything went really smoothly at Firestorm Studios, the first time we've tracked there. The drum sound came out really, really well and we were particularly happy with the kick drum tone we captured. Brian [Kotal, drums] has some new wheels too; look for him at your local roadhouse! We're grabbing video as we go too, so eventually this will end up on some sort of DVD or enhanced portion of a future album."
SILENCER's "Death of Awe" CD is available in the U.S. through The End Records distribution and mail-order. The album was released in Europe through Mausoleum Records.
